Please note that this is a general guideline and dates and deadlines are subject to change.
- California State University (CSU ) — October‐November 30 for the next Fall quarter, August 1‐31 for Spring quarter, and June 1‐30 for Winter quarter admission.
- University of California (UC) — November 1‐30 for Fall, July 1‐31 for Winter quarter/Spring semester, and October 1‐31 for Spring quarter admission.
CSU Transfer Application Checklist
Minimum requirements for Upper Division Transfer eligibility:
- Completion of 60 units (minimum) of CSU transferable coursework (minimum 2.0 GPA) and in “good standing”
- Completion of the Golden Four — CSU GE Breadth or IGETC requirements to satisfy the following:
- English Communication
- Critical Thinking
- Oral Communication
- Quantitative Reasoning
These courses must be completed by the end of Spring, prior to Fall transfer. For Spring transfer, a campus may require the above to be met by the end of the preceding summer.
AP may be used to meet the English Composition and the Math/Quantitative Reasoning requirement with the appropriate score.

- Preparation for the Major: Visit ASSIST
- CSU Application Deadlines: October 1 ‐ November 30 for Fall, August 1 ‐ 31 for Spring, and June 1 ‐ 30 for Winter quarter. Must submit an independent application for admission to each CSU campus of interest.

UC Transfer Application Checklist
Minimum requirements for Upper Division Transfer eligibility:
- Completion of 60 units (minimum) of UC transferable coursework (2.4 minimum GPA) and in “good standing”
- Any BC course identified as UC transferable Completion of the IGETC requirements courses that satisfy the following:
- English Composition
- Critical Thinking
- Quantitative Reasoning
- Four courses from at least two of the following areas:
- Arts and Humanities
- Social and Behavioral Sciences
- Physical and Biological Sciences
*Courses must be completed by the end of Spring prior to Fall transfer. AP may be used to meet the English Composition and the Math/Quantitative Reasoning requirement with the appropriate, UC recognized score.
